Soils & Natural Repellants in the Garden
- McCracken County Cooperative Extension OfficeGracey Moffitt, McCracken Co. Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent, will be discussing soil sampling, soil health, and soil fertility. This is a free class. Age 18+
Summer Sausage Workshops (Class is full)
- McCracken County Cooperative Extension Office$20 fee for a PAIR ($10 per person). As of now, we are encouraging people to register in pairs - if not they will be randomly paired day of. We are allowing for 15 pairs, 30 people total.
A hands-on opportunity to make your own log of summer sausage to take home. Participants will learn the steps to curing/smoking the meat, need for different ingredients, and overall, how to make the summer sausage. You will work in pairs for this activity as it is very hands-on and will require two people working together.
Age: 18+
Gourd Birdhouse Workshop
- McCracken County Cooperative Extension OfficeJoin ANR Agent Gracey as she partners with volunteer Jane Rottgering as they teach about growing gourds and how to turn them into a cute craft that doubles as a birdhouse. Participants will have the opportunity to make their own gourd birdhouse to take home. Registration is required and spots are limited. Age 18+
